The eternity of Rome and the sophistication of Paris

Casa Coppelle Restaurant Rome

Identità gourmet

CASA COPPELLE

Just few steps from the Pantheon and Piazza Navona, Casa Coppelle has been bringing a touch of Paris to Rome since 17 years now. The hosts are Omar, a Roman, and Rachelle, a Frenchwoman from Lorraine.

The sole location is in Rome, at Piazza delle Coppelle 49: the space where these two realities coexist in balance, and now with an even more gourmet identity.

THE KITCHEN

A fine dining Boutique Restaurant that finds its key interpretation in the concept of Fusion.

Dishes, therefore, of French inspiration such as duck leg, foie gras, soupe à l’oignons mixed with local mainstays, such as shrimp carpaccio, our fried boiled meat meatballs, lard-wrapped rabbit fillet, cacio e pepe risotto with shrimp, our amatriciana, and braised veal cheek.

These latter dishes are all handmade and produced in-house, as are the pastries and our bread basket, which will feature changing varieties.

breadsticks, focaccia, and olive girelle.

Signature

Linguine, mustard, lime and raw scallops

A dish of memories. Revisited flavors that draw on a recipe from the chef’s father and have found a new, more contemporary identity.

IL DESIGN

The uniqueness of the place is tangible as soon as you enter the first room, adorned with faithful reproductions of 17th/18th-century paintings, or in the Boudoir, in tones of black and gold, dedicated exclusively to those wishing to undertake the tasting menu. Everything that meets the eye is the result of the creative genius of the famous Architect and Interior Designer Jacques Garcia, who also designed the Hôtel Costes in Paris and La Mamounia in Marrakech, and restored the Musèe Louvre in Paris, the rooms of the Château de Versailles, and many French castles. An institution in the Olympus of high design whose signature has graced Casa Coppelle, the only project he has curated in all of Italy.

LADIES&GENTLEMAN

Our story

Casa Coppelle is not just an address in Rome; it is the culmination of a love story and a shared vision. Behind the elegance of this space are us, an Italian-French couple – Omar (Italian and Roman) and Rachelle (French) – who have merged their lives and cultures in a unique place. Running a restaurant is a journey that knows no pauses, a true act of faith that absorbs almost all energy. Today more than ever, it is an undertaking that requires managerial skills and total dedication, but our strength lies in the enthusiasm and passion we manage to bring together every day.

The most important result we have achieved was the extraordinary transformation of this place. What was a typical Roman trattoria has been elevated to an icon of style thanks to an ambition that pushed us beyond boundaries.

We had fallen in love with Jacques Garcia‘s projects during our travels, admiring his art in exclusive hospitality venues like the Hotel Costes in Paris, La Mamounia in Morocco, and The Nomad in New York. Involving him seemed impossible, and after an initial refusal, we didn’t give up: we reached out to him personally in his studio in Paris.

Our determination, the immediate rapport, and above all, the quality of our dishes, convinced the Maestro. Casa Coppelle is now a flagship establishment with a unique distinction in Italy: the only restaurant to bear his prestigious signature. A true trait d’union where the flair of French design marries the craftsmanship of Italian labor and furnishings.

Tradizione

Creatività

The Italian-French inspiration is the soul of Casa Coppelle — and it reveals itself in every detail. If the interiors reflect the harmony between Garcia’s signature and Italian craftsmanship, our menu embodies two constantly intertwined spirits: the richness of authentic Roman tradition and the boldness of French cuisine, expressed through an elegant contemporary twist.

These two culinary worlds — among the most celebrated in the world — are our constant source of inspiration.
Our philosophy is built on care and excellence: from the freshly baked bread to the desserts, everything is meticulously homemade.
Our dessert menu, in particular, is a true point of pride, curated entirely by Rachelle, who brings to the table the refined artistry of authentic French pâtisserie.

As Churchill once said: “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” This is the most important lesson we’ve learned — never give up. It is the spirit of positivity and lightness, together with the good fortune of sharing every joy, satisfaction, and challenge, that allows us each day to pursue our vision and believe that Casa Coppelle is the perfect place where excellence, passion, and love come together.
